R&D Manager

GSGroup is looking for a new R&D Manager for our development department in Sandefjord, as the current manager enters into a new position internally in the company.
The department currently consists of 6 highly skilled developers, and in the projects we often use resources from one of our other locations to assist in the development.
You will play an important part in managing the department in your daily life, but also by tying the links with the rest of the company and the other development departments.
Being a clear link between the department and management requires good communication skills both ways.
R&D manager is part of the R&D Management group internationally and reports to CTO.
Although GSGroup has become an international company with 13 locations in Europe, the headquarters are still in Sandefjord, and most of the management team is also here in the daily.

You will work closely with the product manager for Guard Systems, and together you will clarify task priorities according to the business priorities and business cases.
R&D Manager is also the SCRUM master for the team and project manager for some of the projects.
Collaborating with other departments internationally will be part of the working day.
You will lead an entire product range and several strategic projects and it is therefore important that you have a high level of implementation skills.
The owners have an ambition that the company will buy 1 new company every year, and for the right person there will be good opportunities for even bigger tasks in the long run.

You have management experience for a department of 5 to 10 employees, and have good results to refer to as a leader
You have either worked as a developer or have led a development department before - possibly you have worked very closely with a development department
Experience in project management, preferably for projects with resources in several locations
Education from college or university

You are generous
You have excellent communication skills
You are innovative and not afraid to try, nor afraid to fail
You are more concerned with results and implementation than the processes
